ZYLtech 5kg Spool Holder for 3D Printer Filament

Purchased two, but they have not been cleaned since getting manufactured. Mine were covered in the manufacturing oil and the aluminum extrusions had shavings stuck in the oil. Easy enough to clean, but unexpected. Also the 3d Printed parts for this were printed in haste and are of very poor quality (bad orientation and poor layer adhesion. Parts split along layer lines when trying to even thread the screws). Thankfully the STL's are online and I can reprint them easily.

I use this holder for 5 lb/2 kg spools of PLA. Most of my prints are large, long -running ones and I grew tired of running out of filament in the middle of the night. This spool holder solves that problem.

My only complaint is that the metal parts have fairly sharp edges and corners, so be careful when assembling the holder. I made the mistake of throwing away to 2 round parts because I didn't think they were needed. Don't do this - the reels have a tendency to slip sideways during a print, and the 2 round parts will prevent them from doing this.

Well built should take more time cleaning parts before they are shipped but over all decent product.

The hard parts are great, uniform plating, easy to assemble, though a simple parts list would round it all out, the price is right though.

the real issue and reason for 3 stars is the printed parts, the tension strap broke opening the package, and the spool adapters don't fit the roller. I assume they are PETG? must have been a wet spool or something. they are very brittle and just unusable.
