Protoneer is definitely at fault for this, they labeled the boards as if each set of 2 pins on the output side could be used to pass the signal to the external drivers... Unfortunately, the traces do not match up to the labels, so you have to follow the trace on the bottom (side that has "enable" labeled, and use the pins that match up to the step and dir pins on the input side. The step and dir positive pins are both inside the "Step" section of the top of the board, so be sure to wire accordingly. If you are buying this, it will *probably* be trivial to figure out because it is definitely aimed at advanced users, but I really do wish the labeling was accurate so that I could use them in my intro to machine manufacturing class. Unfortunately, these are not going to be useful to students or inexperienced makers.
