Please note: there are at least two common types of 8mm lead screws. One is 2mm pitch 4-start (8mm per turn), the other is 2mm pitch single start (2mm per turn). We have anti-backlash nuts for both types; please check your lead screw and your selection above carefully before purchasing.
Features:
- Silent - Unlike brass nuts, delrin nuts are almost completely silent
- Easily modified - Delrin is easy to trim or cut by a hand saw or even a hot knife making it much easier to modify for any application
- Tighter tolerance - Delrin nuts have a tighter tolerance than brass nuts, both in radial and axial direction. In some cases, the main/front nut could be used alone to provide satisfactory accuracy.
- Self-compensating - Spring tension keeps a tight tolerance even after lead screw or brass nut wears out
- Adjustable preload - Adjustable from 4 N to 8 N with stock spring (higher preload could be achieved by substituting a stiffer spring)
