Filament on the spool doesnt do it justice

I was unimpressed on how it looks on the spool. I got it to just to have a free shipping order. OMG I love how it comes out. It has that shiny sheen of silk. Printed out a Lady Liberty and Leaning Tower of Pisa with it and it is beautiful. You'll love it Check out the photos on zyltech's facebook page!

    Shiny and Professional

Posted by Brian Skoog on May 24th 2019

I can’t say enough good things about this filament. It comes out an extremely satisfying, rich candy apple green with excellent shine. So far I’ve used it to print game pieces, a spiral vase, containers, and prototype parts, and I can see a lot more coming in the future.

Here are the settings that worked for me:
    Nozzle Temperature: 200C
    Bed Temperature: 60C
    Layer Height: 0.2mm
    Print Speed: 50-65mm/s
    Retraction Distance: 0.4mm
    Retraction Speed: 60mm/s

Note: having a smaller retraction distance really helps to avoid clogging with this filament.

PS - It smells slightly different than standard PLA; I assume that’s from whatever makes it silk PLA over standard.
