Self adhesive 10 mm heatsink

I purchased a 12 pc package of 10 mm aluminum self adhesive heatsinks for use in a heat sensitive project I am building. The board I am using has two chips that benefit greatly from the application of heatsinks, although it it quite capable of running for long periods without them. On unpacking, I first looked at the design and quality of machining on the simple aluminum heatsinks. The design is quite simple, with adequate channels for airflow, and good machining finishes. I normally don't have very good luck with anything self adhesive, but one chip required 4 heatsinks to cover it, and all 4 stuck well on the first try. The other chip only required one to cover it, and again, it stuck well on the first try. Now I need more projects that require heatsinks so I have a use for the remaining 7! After a short torture test, both chips were running roughly 8 to 9 degrees C cooler than without them, making these an excellent value. I'm sure if I added a small fan to blow across them, the temperature difference would be even greater, but they are doing a good job without extra airflow.
